    Carpet

The only marine carpet my local Home Depot and Lowes carry are looped/berber. Basically, if you allow a trebble hook to come in contact with it, you better have a pair of pliers handy. You definitely want a short cut-pile type of carpet for a fishing boat. Do like Troutman suggested and buy...

    Floatation Spray foam??

Were you referring to the Low Density Aeromarine 2# 2-gal kit? If so, the price is now $79. Or am I overlooking the $60 product?

nav lights and fish finder amp draw

I am trying to determine how much and what size wire to buy. My pumps are marked as either 3 or 4 amp, but I can't find info on the amp draw for nav lights or fish finders anywhere. The bow light and fish finder will both have runs of about 22ft, so using too small of a wire could be bad, but...

    wire size??

I think most people are going to tell you to reconsider using the trailer wiring due to safety and durability issues. I'm a noob at this though, so I'm sure some electrical guru's will chime in and tell you their experienced opinion. Check out this...

    Basic wiring help needed

    * On the positive lead near the battery, solder in a 50AMP inline fuse. Attwood makes one for about $6. This? https://www.attwoodmarine.com/store/product/Fuse-Holder-With-Wire-Loop * You can use a buse bar for the negative leads and run one lead from it to the negative post on the battery...

    carpeting deck and hatches

Oh I understand. To get the roll price, you have to buy 125lf. Otherwise they charge cut price. Got it. I am going to call and get a shipping estimate tomorrow. Unless shipping is outrageous, it will definitely be cheaper.

    Basic wiring help needed

Alright, I am finally getting around to ordering my electrical supplies. The first tool hit the boat back in October or November, and here it is April, and I still have a loooong way to go. Oh well. A little progress is better than none. Money is tight at the moment, so I am going to skip on...

Oh man you got me so stoked when I visited that site. Until I read "Note: 125 lineal foot minimum order" #-o

    seat confusion

I have been debating this forever. I finally made a decision. I am getting the cheap-0 economy pedestals from Bass Pro with the $10 swivels. Both pedestals and the swivels will be a fraction the cost of one quality base, pedestal, and swivel set.

    seat confusion

Thanks for the replies. So basically there is a base, post, and seat mount with a million different options between those three items, all of which must be compatible with the other. Or you can buy a non removable, fixed pedestal. Either way, this ain't gonna be real cheap #-o

    seat confusion

Hey guys. My jon boat had benches with seats mounted to the benches, but I have done away with the benches and installing decking instead. The problem is that I am completely confused by all of the seating options out there. More specifically...the seating hardware options. I would like to use...

    carpeting deck and hatches

Thanks for the replies guys. Jim, I grabbed a few samples of the indoor/outdoor rubber backed stuff from Home Depot. The price was awesome and it looked good, but the fibers were continous loop. I dropped a rooster tail onto the sample swatch, and it instantly snagged on the carpet. Took pliers...
