Do you load and unload with the motor on the boat? I have a 14 ft jon that I haul like this, but I don't leave the motor on the transom.

Thanks guys for all of your suggestions. I know after I bought my boat I got a survey and I blasted the paint issue, of course there wasn't any reply. Oh well, it is what it is. I'm already thinking about a bigger boat, won't be a Tracker. I'm gonna quit worrying about it and go fishing.

That's just half of it, after the first time I used it the paint on the bottom chipped off. I wasn't overly concerned because I knew I was putting a floor in it. But now seeing how easy the paint is coming off of the sides, I really feel I made a mistake buying a Tracker.

I have never been more disappointed in a boat than I am with my 1 year old Tracker 1542. Today I decided to put nice registration numbers on it and behold, the tape I used to line everything nice and neat pulled the paint off.  Now I would expect this if I had used masking tape or duct tape, but...

I'm getting ready to wire my boat and I need your opinion. I have two batteries, I will be running a 12volt 44 pound trolling motor, 2 fish finders, bilge pump and navigation lights. My first thought is to run both batteries to a selector switch and run everything off of one battery at a time...

They are the 3/4 pin type, I was just concerned about the bushings in the pedestals.

I just got my new pedestals and seats. Do I need to install swivels on the seats or will they swivel on the pedestals?

If I use bolts, how do I thread them into the seat? Will self-tapping bolts hold?

What size rivets work best? 3/16", 1/4"?

Ok...I'm thinking about attaching a piece of aluminum angle to the bench seats and they will help support the 2x2 framing. I will also use vertical supports. Would it be best to pop rivet the aluminum angle to the seats? What size rivets? Aluminum or Stainless?

I've seen your build, looks good. I would love to see the finished product. I see you removed the bait-well, what did you do about the hole through the bottom of the boat?

I also fish the HP restricted lakes here in West Virginia and have seen guys with Trackers with 40hp running wide open. I wish they would get busted!
