    thanks thill, I agree, my buddy and I caught a "rouge wave" from a very inconsiderate wake board boat last summer that made us both "s*** a brick", we took on water but stayed afloat (thanks to the foam, and THIS FORUM, and many thanks to this website for the help)

    fyi. there are mounts out ther that bend and flex, you may need to make your own mounting plate for the head unit . i have one i'm considering using, if i do i'll be sure and post some pics

    im having the same dillema, got my wiring done, have several mounts, just trying to get the "RIGHT" spot (14ft 3 bnch boat) , i'll post my findings and photo's as soon as i mount mine, maybe it will help ? :)

    i have a minn kota endura c2 (55 lbs thrust). the shaft is 36" but the motor is far deeper in the water than my transom when the control head is where i need it. i have a background in electronics but would like to know if anyone else has done this or if anyone has any ideas...
