    Mauser Build

I haven't played with hand loads for the mauser yet, but I do hand load for my 25-06. So far I've experimented with about 5-6 different factory loads to get to the 5/8" group. I have the gun back apart at the moment to finish the stock and ceramic coat all the metal components. Once I get it...

    Mauser Build

Well, I don't have any images at the moment of the mauser's grouping, but after a few boxes of ammo through the gun, I'm holding a consistent 5/8" group at 100 yards. Two weeks ago I shot 700 yards with it and after 3 shots had it dialed in to accuratly smoke milk jugs filled with water everytime.

Thanks. The welder is a Lincoln SP-175 that I adapted to power a spool gun.

9.5' hand built race boat (Stock Outboard Racing)

Finally ran the boat, but it reallly needs to have a steering wheel in it before I get it on the water again. Very little feedback from the tiller. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FBt2V_nGP0

9.5' hand built race boat (Stock Outboard Racing)

Thanks. The 60 runs great on there, although I am thinking about adding a wedge between the motor and the jackplate. I could use a little more negative trim when running on top with light loads.

9.5' hand built race boat (Stock Outboard Racing)

It's a Land and Sea I picked up off ebay. It was bolted to an 8" setback plate and came off a supposedly new hull that was damaged on the dealer lot. All I had to do was add oil. I'd definatly recommend the land and sea, but they're usually pretty pricey, even as hyd jack plates go.

9.5' hand built race boat (Stock Outboard Racing)

Actually, I do, but not too many - These were with the old 40hp on it This is the only one I can find with the 60 hanging on it

9.5' hand built race boat (Stock Outboard Racing)

Dead on, it's a 93 kx250 that I just replaced the crank and a fresh top end, all suspension, linkage, bearings, ect very tight. The forks were rebuilt just before the top end went about 3 years ago. It was parked until this past fall when I rebuilt it. It belongs to a friend of mine's wife and...

9.5' hand built race boat (Stock Outboard Racing)

So, I've had an interest in these little boats for the past couple years. The class they run in is called Stock Outboard Racing. They force you to run a factory outboard so that the race is all about who is the better driver rather than who has the deepest pockets...

    2005' 40 hp Merc 2 stroke

I have a '94 40hp merc 2 stroke and a '97 mariner 60hp 2 stroke. Have had them both for the past 3-4 years. The 60 had a blown lower unit when I got it and the 40 needed a trim motor, but after repairing each one, I haven't had any issues. I'm an OMC guy by heart, but I'd buy both of these...

    HomeMade Wine

I did this about a year ago with great results. The cranbearry however took something like 2 months to quit bubbling, it was a bit bland, but man would it sneak up on you. before you knew it you'd find yourself just sitting there staring off into nowhere. lol.

    Rock River Arms

Well, I finally put the AR on paper (rather barn steel)... I didn't have a tape measure with me, but given each hole is approx 1/4", i'd say it's just over an inch group. 6 shots at 100 yards -

    Mauser Build

Thanks. I bought a Ruger M77 a few years back with intentions of doing most of this work to it, but that gun proved to be sub-moa right out of the box so I really couldn't justify it. but at the same time, I can't help but wonder how much better it could be.

For the amount of silt we have here, I think you could about use a kitchen spoon and get it to hold. lol

    Mauser Build

I cannot remember if I posted this before or not, but if I did, I cannot find it. I've been working on this for quite awhile, but am finally nearly finished. I started with a 1943 Turkish Mauser chambered in 8mm. I've owned it for about 13 years and really never shot it after about the first...

    1970 johnson 9.5 stop switch

You can use about any switch for this. If it is a switch that is spring loaded to return to the "run" position, be sure that it is a normally open switch. It will have to close to ground your coils and kill the engine.

    anchor question

I have a 1652 that I used to use a 10 lb mushroom anchor on until I lost it, currently using a light weight blade type, but do not remember the size. I have never really had an issue with either anchor holding, but the river I mainly fish here has a pretty good silt bottom.
