    Think your boat's bad?

Those boats were in a rescue scene in the movie "Act Of Valor".

    Gas can distance from Motor

Turbo, the one I have is a 2000 model on a 2000 G3 16' MV. I am running 3/8 hose to it currently. What boat are you running yours on and what kind of MPH are you getting? Ed

    Gas can distance from Motor

Thanks guys I appreciate the responses. I had a 15 hp 1980 Johnson I had issues with when I moved the tank towards the front. None when I moved it back to the transom on another boat.

    Gas can distance from Motor

I have a 25hp 4 stroke Yamaha and want to move it perhaps more centered and not leave it in the back transom well to shift some weight towards the front. How far away from the back can I move it and still have the motor fuel pump not have any issues with pulling in the gas? Should I leave it...

    WeldCraft 1656

Scout Thanks a lot for that information. I was wondering how a product like that or even Tuffcoat would work on plywood. I had considered .09 or .125 aluminum but they are much heavier per sheet than 1/2 plywood almost twice as heavy which surprised even me. I have been thinking about doing...

    97 SeaArk 1872 Build

Eric I have a couple of questions. Nice looking boat you have. I have thought about running two tanks and I saw that you use a T to join them together. The motor will pull evenly from both tanks at the same time? I have a 25 hp Yamaha 4 stroke. Thanks, Ed

    WeldCraft 1656

Where did you get the "turf" from? I have been looking at that online and comparing to the Seadeck but from what I have read the Hydroturf is much cheaper. I am redoing a G3 1648 MV and am torn between the carpet and plywood or Aliminum and Hyroturf or Sea deck. I want to keep the costs down...

Hey Guys ...new here , just bought a 15.5 fisher w/ issue

Most of the guys on here use 5200, jb weld for aluminum or other types. Best case scenario would have it welded by someone that does aluminum. Others will chime in I am sure. I lived in Cumming for 8 years and spent a lot of time on Lake Lanier in the 90's, before Cumming grew like crazy. Ed

    60's Sportsman runabout

The same thing happened to me when I did the decking on my 14' V bottom StarCraft. Cardboard template, double check it. Cut the cardboard, laid it on the plywood cut it 1/4 " less to be sure.....nada, nope it was still too big. Never figured out why just keep cutting a little off at a time till...

Why so many unfinished threads on builds?

Yea life gets in the way sometimes of our passions. I have been fortunate enough to never have had the "it or me" issue. [-X I was just wondering because I have spent hours reading and many pages following a thread to learn and get ideas and then it drops off the face of the earth before you...

    Back from Moab Utah

Spent some time in Arches and also dead horse canyon. Could spend all day shooting pictures there. My brother and I got up and made the hike up to Delicate Arch, one morning to catch the sunrise there. It is hard to capture the beauty there with a camera, even when you know what you are doing.

Why so many unfinished threads on builds?

I have been reading a lot of the threads on boat conversions only to get to the end and they all of a sudden stop. Just when I am getting to the area I am interested in and/or learning something new the OP stops posting about his build which is very disappointing after you have read 10 or more...
