    2011 8pt

Thanks guys! Been hunting my butt off to try and fill my other buck tag before gun season but haven't seen anything bigger than the 8 I shot this year. Gun season opens tuesday and I think this moderate weather has pushed the rut back a little but tonight I passed a 3 point and a little 6...

    recent deer hunting

Good story. Check out thirdhandarchery.com they have a bow holder that you can climb up the tree while the bow sits in it. I am thinking about buying one cuz I too have been caught with my pants down, so to speak. Also if that deer was quartering away then that was a great shot. I wouldn't...

    2011 8pt

Thanks guys! My bow is a 2006 bowtech tribute. Drives tacks! Carbon express pile driver arrows, g5 t3 broadheads, copper John dead nutz sight, and trophy taker rest. I want to get a new fancy bow but can't find a reason. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

    2011 8pt

Shot this buck on October 8th. Everybody is complaining about how hot it is but its hunting season and Im not gonna sit on the couch. So I figured id hunt in a gully by some water where it was a bit cooler. Worked perfect this buck came walking by me about an hour before dark and gave me a...

    Wabasis Lake Aug, 12,13 & 14

Buddy used to live on Wabasis Lake. Im going to assume its the same one your talking about, Greenville, MI?, since its an odd name. We had more luck in the southeast cove in the spring. The bass spawn back there and you could catch a limit in an hour. Never caught any monsters out there but...

    Record hunts?

I used to video hunt with a couple of buddies and we got some great footage but as time goes by people get busy and it seems the season gets shorter so it got harder to team up to get quality footage. I did the whole video tape my own hunt thing and had a few nice doe kills that way but...

    Steamed sweet corn

Thats a good idea. I am stuck in my old ways of soaking the corn, in husk, in water throw that on the grill until the outer leaves start to char and corn tenders up. Then the trick is throwing all the corn in a cooler and letting them steam for a bit. Always turns out good.

    The giving jar.

What do you put in the jar? I think they use flat rate shipping boxes anyway. Suck to have to pick the broken glass out of box contents lol. Not trying to shoot you down but doesn't sound reasonable.

    The giving jar.

Check the thread below. They use a box so actual items of interest can be swapped. Not sure what you would put in a jar but I think you mean the same as the box thing. Jump in if you want.

    Finding a free boat question

Driving around and doorknocking is a good idea. I would also post an add on craigslist stating your looking for an old fixer upper from free to cheap. People around here know what they have and if they are giving it away its probably not worth the hassle. Depending on your situation Id spend...

Welcome to the site! A 1452 is a great boat for mods. You should look through the "link for modifications" post and get your ideas from what other people have done. Then post some pics and people will be more than happy to help.
