A pram or small Jon boat

A good reason to own one of these handy little boats. My Son, Ricky and his Buddy at Rattlesnake Lake. Ricky was 7 or so and one of his Buddies asked to go fishing with us. Great, those two would have a good time no matter what. I had my Uncle Jiggs Pram. It was home made from a Popular...

I have two, a 5.5 Evinrude and a 6 Johnson. Neither run right now. Don't know about the Rude but the Johnson needs a...

Catfish gathering March 21-24 at Pickwick TN.

I'm sure there'll be lots of tin boats there. I'll be there. I sure hope the Snow we have will be gone by then. Here's some local places to 'camp' out in. I think I'll be in the Camping area. If it is absolutely necessary that you have a cabin, there are some located across the dam on the lake...

    THE TINY CABIN

A social worker from a big City in Massachusetts recently transferred to the Mountains of North Carolina and Georgia and was on the first tour of her new territory when she came upon the tiniest cabin she had ever seen in her life. Intrigued, she went up and knocked on the door.. "Anybody home?"...

I need a Transducer for my Lowrance X29.

I don't know if I can connect these wires, keep the insulation and shielding intact. If you've done this, send me a PM and I'll Pick your brain :LOL2: Other than fixing it I need a good one, used or new. Who knows how I'd find out what all Xducers will work with this X29?

Jet boats seem to be the Rage....?

I wonder why? A drawback to a jet is a very hi fuel usage. Another drawback is Grass and Gravel clogging the inlet. Slightly shorter engine life, and noisy operations. The good part, is shallow water transport. So tell me now, is the Expense and aggravation worth the shallow water handiness?

    What the Heck is this?

I have a "New to me" 14' Jon. Inside the back of the front seat is this Mystery 'thing' maybe he's a Hoodoo? :LOL2: I've never seen one before. The shiny thing inside is a Stainless Spring. The black cover twists off.

Getting old is not without some changes.

I have a "Rolling Rowing Seat" in my Jon. So I can roll back and forth, to reach anything anywhere in my boat. I sometimes fish all night. But even during the day I sometimes want a little Nap. It keeps other fishermen curious about that old guy in the bottom of his boat. :LOL2: Now I want...

new to me boat, need ID.

I did some trading with a young kid, and got a pretty nice 14' Aluminum Jon boat. If there were any numbers they are coverd up. The moniker on the stern sides says; "Arkansas Rambler" I have looked on Google with no success. Can any of you guys help me with this ID project?

Starting over with a bare boat.

I row, no trolling motor or gas outboard. :LOL2: This 14' Jon has no lights inside or out. I'm interested in the LED lights for the Legal night lights. I'll make some LED interior lights for my convenience after dark. And a fish finder. I fish for Crappy, Bream and Catfish. I'm interested in...

    Need Ammo..?

This morning I lucked out and was able to buy several cases of ammo. On the way home I stopped at the gas station where a Drop-dead gorgeous blonde was filling up her car at the next pump. She looked at the ammo in the back of my PICKUP and Said in a very sexy voice, "I'm a big believer in...

I'd build this one if I had my Druthers.

It's a 12' Jon, of wood, maybe 48" wide at the middle. A bit tapered at both ends with a Little bit of rocker over the length. I row. Normally don't use any kind of motor. So you see two sets of oar locks. If I had a passenger for that rear deck seat. Under the front seat is the Battery. I...
