Look at the fuel system like posted above, are you running a newer plastic tank? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

    Seized lower unit bolts

Try using the 50/50 acetone and auto transmission fluid as a break free. I'd do that for a couple days before trying to break them loose and let it soak in. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk

    Bailey Bridge Boat and foam.

Excited to watch this build, would love to find one of those for a good price. There's a link to calculate the foam in the boathouse in the stickies. Or just do a Google search.

My second boat build! 86 lowe 1436

I'm liking how you reused the bench in the rear to make the two separate seats.

Add duckbill to Alumacraft 1648 MV

I would just get a piece of 1/8" aluminum sheet, cut to shape, then rivet it down and paint. How big are you trying to make it?

    1973 Johnson 25HP Prop Bushing

You have to replace the whole bushing, it's a one piece design where the rubber is cast onto the brass, you then press that into the prop hub. There's a company that makes them still and their not too pricey, I purchased and replaced 2 on my props last year. I'll see if I can find their info.

    Transom savers....a middle ground

I would think that everything should be as solid as possible, maybe a little absorption. I would think if the boat is strapped to the trailer, and the lower unit is also connected to the trailer via a transom saver, everything should be moving as one piece, which is the wanted result.

    Transom savers....a middle ground

I'd take my chances with having a transom saver, than not using one. Interested to see if shock absorbing makes a difference.

My dads old Bass Tracker ii

Too rich of gas to oil mixture, too rich gas to air mixture. Could also be old gas. Are you running E85 free gas?

    Deck Material Aluminum vs Wood

3/8 is way over kill. I did aluminum compared to wood, I like the one and done fact of using aluminum. I used 1/16 on my floors, and 1/8 on a deck on the front.

Need proof that tin boats "sweat" - forming condensation?

KMixson pretty much nailed what I want to say. If any amount of outside air can get into it at any point, their will be humid air in it.

    Carolina tracker 1460 project

What's it being used for? I used parkers duck boat paint on mine and it's holding up nice to the abuse.
