Just take and duct tape the underside of the hole and use jb weld on the top. Make sure to really slab it on there. Wait about 1-2 days, then sand it down till its flat. The only thing left is to paint it.

Your motor is way too low, so either make shims to raise the cavitation to even with the bottom of the boat or buy a mini jacker. I have a mini jacker with my longshaft 1980 evinrude 15hp, its just slightly above the bottom of the boat. Don't put a whale tail on there it will only slow it down...
