    Anyone replace transom on a Lowe 15.5' with back seats up against the transom?

    Have a older Lowe Rover 15.5' that has a bad transom board. The problem is the float seats are up against the transom. Anyone have an idea how to replace this board without destroying the back of the boat?

    I have a 1987 Evinrude 28 hp SPL. As eveyone knows the 28 spl are long shaft. I wanted to make it a short shaft but when I took the 5" spacer out and pulled the 30 13/16'' drive shaft.
