depending on the condition of the trailer $2500 isnt all that bad of a price. I probably would have tried to push for around $2000 or so. Maybe I missed this, but is the boat fully welded? Any other pics of the boat and trailer from other angles?

I dont know about a removable hitch (short of unbolting it), but Im in the process of adding a Fulton Swing-Away tongue to mine. I didnt absolutely have to have the swing-away function to shorten the trailer (although it is a very nice feature), but I needed to extend my trailer about 20 inches...

Well I just realized another issue with the trailer - with the bunks/boat hanging off the back 24" or so the transom saver is rendered useless. It doesnt have the reach and it cant get the proper angle to support the outboard. I am going to try to find a local source for the Swing-Away kit...

You havent had any problems with that board affecting your loading of the boat? I figured anything running across the splines of the boat vs with them would cause issues.

So do I use a piece of 2x4 on the inside and outside? or just the outside? I am assuming you were talking about using three fairly large C-clamps correct? I think as long as I go slow this method should work since the bend isnt sharp or abrupt. I was thinking of using the 2x4 on the outside...

My 1448 Monark has one spot where the gunwhale is dented in. Its not a sharp dent and is towards the center of the boat. Is there any way to straighten this out on my own? My boat was a work boat in its prior life and as such has plenty of "character." I can deal with all of it because the...
