Valid point. It’s a big river mouth with lots of channels. It’s not crazy with reeds/grasses, but they are there. It’s definitely not a swamp, but there are shallows. It is tidal too, so what is deep going in at dawn, might be a scratch at noon.

Your Mariner is 15 hp? I'd love to get a speed on my 1436 with the 9.9 Merc. I'm thinking it's got to be close to 20 mph. I only have about 10-15 lbs of extra weight in my floor, so it's a pretty light boat.
