    Took the boat out..No leaks ...No Crappie either...

    Oh well ...but great news no leaks.. :D :D But I tell you what you get spoiled by having a nice pedestal cushioned seat to sit on.. sitting on a plain old jon boat bench seat ...well just plain sucks .. As long as the rain holds off tomorrow will get started with the mod in earnest...

    1440 livewell ?

    Trying to figure out where I can get a Livewell snuck in somewhere. anybody with a pic of what they have done would help a lot.. Please be around the 14 40 range or smaller.. Thanks Jerry

    What's the concenus around here on livewell construction ?

    you guys that have added them to your boats. You weld aluminum panels in or molded plastic or spray foam ? Just trying to get an Idea of different construction techniques that have worked. I've seen a couple where they turned a seat compartment in to one and that won't work for what I have in...

    Here we go again..

    Just picked her up tonight. $350 boat and trailer .No leaks and only one coat of paint..way better shape than my first mod started off with I last summer. 1440 .. now wheres that paint stripper? :D :D

    For what it's worth ..my next boat mod...........

    I will do things differently ....First I will treat all the lumber (plywood ,2X4's) before framing .. Being that I use an hvlp sprayer to apply sealer it would have been easier to squirt 2 or 3 coats on the material on saw horses and then just dabbed sealer with a brush on any fresh cut ends...

    Bed liner

    I 've researched a few threads that said not use it on the bottom of the boat....but what about the inside? Most of it will be cover up by plywood only a little would be actually exposed...only other consideration was heat. but I see you can get it in white.

    New guy here..** UPDATED With lots of pics...

    This is pretty cool.. you guys really got me stoked to do a jon boat mod... So went out and got one ..pretty cheap... =D> spent most the weekend stripping the paint off the outside ...taking it tomorrow to get a couple of "whoops " welded up.. tonight I went ahead and removed the second bench...
