    Front seat options

I’ve tried to find Marine Plywood and there is none around per the HD/Lowe’s search. I might try this waterproof sheathing, but need to see if it can be painted first. Also, my flotation foam looks to be in good shape except for a few white balls which have come off Sent from my iPhone...

    Front seat options

So I was at HD today picking up the 3/4 BCX board for my seats and the guy there recommended the LP Legacy sheet which is basically waterproof OSB due to Gorilla glue being in it. I did a quick search on AL compatibility and couldn’t find any issues. Anyone familiar. It’s extremely hard and...

    Front seat options

Thanks guys! Any recommendations for a high quality paint that is good with UV? Would some of that new deck paint that goes on with roller work? Once I do the seats, I'm planning to get some removable padded cushions that I can put on there, but remove so the sun doesn't burn them up when...

    Front seat options

Well, the plywood seats my dad installed 25yrs ago are finally up to get redone. First up is the little seat at the bow. The 2x4 he used are rotten and plywood is delaminating. The aluminum brackets riveted to hull are in good shape. What are my options to replace the seat. Obviously...

    Something stupid today

Yea, that’s exactly it. They backed it up a slight incline so the bow had a nice swimming pool in it. Stupid me for trying to move it without securing it. I was crawling along with it but water must have moved enough to tip it. I filled up the inside with water and there was slight seepage...

    Something stupid today

I did something stupid today. The marina I keep boat at moved it and the drain was higher the rest of the boat so it filled up with water. I hooked up to trailer and just wanted to move it so it would drain. Of course I didn’t strap it down and boat rolled off trailer at very slow speed...

    DRAIN PLUG

I also had threaded plug. My threads were bad so I smeared sealant in them and used a modern one with the rubber. Be sure to get a quality one if you go this way, many cheap ones out there

    Cracked transom aluminum

Well I finally got the new AL plates installed I have some cleanup of the 3M 4200, but it went very well. I used 316SS hardware with a barrier of 4200 on it. Also, I had some holes in the transom from an old depth finder. Plugged them with some Aluminum screws I appreciate all of...

    Trailer Upgrade Projects

Hi, they do not currently. Extending the bunks is an upgrade project that I have on the list. They are currently about 18” long. I’d like to rotate 90deg so the wide part is supporting and increase length as much as I can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cracked transom aluminum

Hey Dale, thanks for the resource! I will definitely check them out. I've been navigating through the listings on McMaster and have a set of 316SS hardware selected. Since I won't be doing any salt water, this was just added insurance for cosmetics with the bleeding like you mentioned...

    Cracked transom aluminum

Thanks, I think I'm going to get a 1/4" Aluminum plate for both sides of the transom and then through-bolt it with some 316SS hardware and isolate the hardware from the AL with either 3M 4200 or some rubber washers. I'll put the 3M 4200 on the backside of the plate as well. I'm not yet sure...

Interesting, I could probably get some AL from McMaster. What grade do you use?
