I have a 16' misty river with a floor and side decking. I want to attack a cleat or two to the inside of the gunwale or the side of the boat. Is this possible, or would it be best to attach to the wood decking? If it is how would I do it? The cleats would be used for attaching the anchor...

They sell a small craft bow motor mount through cabela's. Or you could look at them and try and build your own.
