I got the tip from another member. Try https://www.gordsaluminumpolish.com. If the demos on the web site are any indication, then this stuff is fantastic!!!!
You can go online to A.K. McCallum in Fayetteville, NC. They do mail order. Stick steer is good to 70HP now. I'm thinking about it as well for a project. The thing I like is sitting up front where you can see and having all the controls right there.
Go back to the home page and on the left side look for boat projects. Click on it, scrowl down and look for Sgt. Stiglitz Sea King or the boats done by Bassboy1.
The seventh inning stretch of boat building has struck again! It happens to everyone sooner or later. I like the way the V-hull looks. Could you do better...maybe, its up to you.
=D> Looks like you have a great begining there. I tried to look at the pictures but the carpet made my eyes bleed. So many owners have done so much with their boats that I know you will get some ideas.
You don't need to replace the prop! Go to your local marine store. They should know a place where you can send the prop off to be rehubed. Turn around on my prop was three days. Cost me $80 bucks. A new prop was going to be $120-150 dollars.
Like the other members, I am surprised at the amount of items for sale on Craigslist. I go online and check it out and keep up with whats out there. I even buy stuff! Great site.
 Hey summers, thats a great job you're doing...keep it up. I also have a Mercury 25HP motor that had the same problem. At sometime in the past the foot was removed and the little washer wasn't reinstalled. Above that latch you will see a rod going up into the motor. This is the reverse...
=D> Go for it Captdag!!!!! Man that looks like it would be an awesome build. Sure it would take longer, but the rewards would be that much greater. You should be able to go to your local fish and game office with the registry numbers and find out the information on the boat. As the member...
:LOL2: Nice looking kayak. There was a story running around a couple of months ago of a guy in a kayak hooking a decent size marlin and then getting towed for 11 miles! I think I would have cut the line?..but who knows.
I would go with the G3. The ribs help with the loads the boat must carry. If I had a choice I would go with the ribs everytime. One other thing...if you ever wanted to put in a floor the ribs will give you a nice place to bolt the flooring to and you can fill the area underneath with foam.
=D> You are so right about the Motorguide web site!!!! Someone needs to do a number on it. No, I never would have thought about Sears, but I will give them a try. Thanks!
Hey everyone! I have been given a Motorguide 3 TM. I am finding it hard to get any kind of parts for it. Anyone have any ideas? I need the steering cable and switches to start.
I bought a 15 HP johnson from https://www.smalloutboards.com. The outboard has run like a top ever since. They have a big selection from 3HP folders to 225HP saltwater motors. Because I've had such good luck with them I will give them a plug...and business if I need another motor.
