I am new to actually having a motor with prop options. my motor has 3 different options , 11 , 13 , 15 pitch. it came with a 13 pitch on it and it is ok but you always want more right ? for more top end / speed would i go to the 11 or the 15 ? Motor is a 30 hp on a 14 foot v bottom.

I bought a boat with a 1993 evinrude 30 hp motor , on the panel is a "primer" but it "snaps/clicks" in one more notch after you prime it , is it suppose to be out or snapped in when you are running it ? Also , does this motor have anything that will charge the battery while running or not ...

when you measure the boat , where do you measure for your width ? widest point at floor or top of sides ? i come up with an odd number at widest bottom. 51 in. ? but i do know it is a 14ft sylvan deep V.

I have been wanting to add remote steering and throttle to my "project". I am going to be sitting on back bench seat to operate and shifter is well within reach so I dont need shift cable , and am wondering if anyone has made a "homemade" remote throttle control. any ideas or pics ?

I just bought a sylvan 14ft and it came with a long shaft 30 hp motor. my question is , If I put something on the top of the transom where it "dips down" to make it level across whole top of transom what would be the best way to attach it ? Or any other ideas are welcome too. thought of a jack...
