Just got a new trailer for my 14' mirrocraft v. Was wondering if the boat should just sit on my bunks and not the rollers or sit on both? I know the front of the boat will be on the front roller but how about the back two? Also wondering where should the bunks rest on the bottom of the boat...

No foam or livewells. I basically catch and release and guess i'll let her sink if the problem arises. There is plenty of room for a livewell in these boats.

I got a 9.9 mercury that I'm gonna buy from my buddy. Just won't drop it at the creek. I need a gas motor for some of the other lakes I plan on hitting.

Yes I spar urathaned all the wood. You can see in the pictures except for the decking for the floor. Its done now but I didn't take pics after I sparred and carpeted it. Thanks its been a long process.

Some pic updates. I have the whole inside complete. Don't have pictures of the carpeted floor and hatches but they are done. I also put one more coat of paint on the inside and clearcoated it. Just have to flip it over, sand the outside from the waterline up and paint. So close to being done.

Here's an update. Took it fishing at Potato Creek State Park. Gotta get the floor in next.

Take out all the bolts holding it to the boat. Then take a rubber mallet and tap it out.

Yea I saw that. I like your setup. I think Im going with a front and back deck also with a floor between the two though.

Haven't had time for an updated but heres where Im at on the inside of the boat. Painted on the Gluvit with a brush. One quart got me full coverage of all the seems and rivets and flooring below the water line. Stuff reminded me of the epoxy I use to glue golf clubheads to shafts. Even...

Ordered some Gluvit on ebay. Gotta get the seams and rivets down to the aluminum. Also gonna paint the boat with the Parkers Duck Boat paint. Thinking a gallon will be plenty for the inside and out.

Can I use denatured alcohol in place of acetone when wiping down the boat for paint prep?

Finished getting the inside paint off. Used the grinder and power drill with wire brushes. Eventually, found the best way was to first hit is with the angle grinder and do the detail work with the drill. Gonna get some etching primer and the paint for the whole project tomorrow.

Just finished taking off stripes and putting another coat on the transom. Put hot air gun on inside wall behind stripe and just pulled them right off. EZ. Too bad I didn't figure it out until more than halfway done. Was curious about how hard it would be to take off the original paint job...

Did the leak test before fully removing transome. Filled it up and let it sit all night. No leakage or seepage anywhere. Woohoo. Removed the back and front benches and middle brackets. Also took out transome. Looking to replace transom and reinstall before going any further. Do I have to...
