Best plywood sealer & carpet glue from LHS?

For the plywood sealer, most people on here have mentioned using spar urethane. You may also want to see if your local LHS carries some type of epoxy resin. As for the carpet glue, there are some that you can order online, but I would think whatever Lowes or whoever you go to their carpet glue...

    Searching for shade ...

you may want to try these to start with before dropping that kinda cash on either one of those in your original post. https://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=76175&pdesc=Real_Shade_Boat_Seat_Umbrella_with_Bracket&aID=601B3&merchID=4006 The site wouldn't let me copy the pics...

Triton 1440MV refresh (pics updated 6-11)

I think I see a foxbody Mustang, 80's boxtop Chevy truck, and maybe the front end of a Malibu or El Camino lurking in the background? Are those other projects you are working on?

Voyager 1670 Jon Mod - wasting my time

The best thing I have found to strip paint off of aluminum is elbow grease and wire wheels. Check out my build thread to see what I mean. lol

    14' Western V-bottom Modification

I would think if you use a countersink on the hole you drill into the decking would make the screw fit more flush depending on what type of screw you use. Plus after you put carpet over it you'll never see the screw head popped up through the carpet.

    Paint question

I definitely agree with cavman. If you are going to do it, do it right by sanding off the old paint first. It can be pain to sand it down but inthe long run its worth it. I know, as I just finished sanding, priming and painting mine. Check my thread in my signature, I have everything listed...

Sea King Semi V-hull **Phase 1**

Thanks for the info! I posted a couple of pics of my trailer in my thread. Check it out if you have a moment, because I was wondering if you could give me some more info on the rollers that are located in your beam. It seems yours may have been replaced at some point since it looks as if...

Sea King Semi V-hull **Phase 1**

I have the same trailer as you, and I've got some questions. But first were you able to find shocks for it? I'll snap some pics of my trailer this evening and post in my build thread in my signature. My trailer is configured a little bit different than yours but both of ours has that unique...

My Project- '73 Cherokee Mckenzie 14ft (Updated Pics 10/04)

well since i'm going to add in the enamel hardner to the paint, I think i may have to roll it on, since the hardner will only allow me so much time to let the paint sit in the can before it becomes useless. I'm not sure I will have enough time to apply thin coats and let it dry before re-applying.

My Project- '73 Cherokee Mckenzie 14ft (Updated Pics 10/04)

My plan is to use tractor implement paint on the bottom, so I am going to use Massey Ferguson gray, with the added enamel hardner. And I might do a section of red above the splash line. Need to get it primed today so that I can flip her right side up to redo the transom. I found it kinda hard...

My Project- '73 Cherokee Mckenzie 14ft (Updated Pics 10/04)

Well here she is gentlemen. Finally getting 37 years of old paint off her. Man what a task. But the industrial grinder with wire cups and disk pads help out tremendously. I understand now why my father has such huge forearms after holding that thing for extended periods of time. What a...
