New 9.9 setup - is this enough?

I have a 1648 with a 9.9 and it planes out just fine with 2 batteries, tank and two people. I get up to around 18mph on smooth water.

    Adding seats, etc.

Probably going to be a big no but has anyone added seats and stuff WITHOUT drilling holes in the benches? There are Zero holes in my boat and if I can I would like to keep it that way...

    DIY Livewell?

I got a used cooler from my son to try out. Gotta get it cleaned up and locate the other items to make a livewell. Kinda glad it has the drain on one of the ends. Gonna upgrade the hinges also. I'll try to remember to get pics of the process.

    DIY Livewell?

Curious as to what people are using for DIY livewells other than coolers? I want to add one to my middle bench and use the top of it as the lid.

    need Help With 2 Things....

2 different questions here that I need some help or ideas with. 1. Transducer mounting: I've read where some of you have used 3M 5200 to glue a piece of PVC to the boat. My concern is it coming off in movement and is there any preparation that needs to be done to the boat or the PVC before it's...

    Fish Finder Battery Revisited....

So I bought a sealed 12v 7ah battery just to try it out. It says Max charging volts is 2.1amps. Will it hurt the battery to charge it with a 3amp charger?

    Fish Finder Battery Revisited....

I've searched here and found a few posts on using the small sealed batteries for fish finders. My question is, using a 12v 7ah battery, how long will it run one without having to charge it? I do alot of catfishing and I am usually on the water for up to 5 hours, I'll be using it the whole time...

    78-80 Evinrude 25Hp Kill Switch?

Thanks guys. Pappy, your answer is the one I was needing. My motor has the switch on the frame and not the arm. It has been unhooked (cut for some reason) and the wire removed all but about 4 inches from the switch. I do have one wire coming off of a coil that shocked me the other day, might...

    Trailer Light Help Needed

I drive a 1991 s10. My brake and turn signals are on the same wire. They are believe it or not, color coded on the truck the same way the harness is, brown for park lights, yellow for left turn/brake and green for right turn/brake.

    Trailer Light Help Needed

Yes. Truck works fine without the trailer.

    Trailer Light Help Needed

Tilt trailer. I installed a new harness and lights on the trailer a couple of days ago and I was having trouble getting them to work. Figured out it was a harness problem so I hard wired the harness to the truck. Added a ground to the tilting portion of the trailer just to be safe. Now, I have...

    V Bottom Transoms?

Thanks for the replies guys. I plan to add another sheet of aluminum to the inside of the transom then the wood and then another piece of aluminum, that is why I was asking about the outside, is this something that would be better than letting the motor bite into the wood or no?. I also have a...

    V Bottom Transoms?

I've noticed that on almost all V Bottom boat transoms there is a piece of wood Outside on the back. Is that really necessary? Also, what thickness should I be going for on a transom? I was told 1 1/2" but want to make sure.
