Hello everyone.
Im new to the forum and just recently picked up this tin. 1980 60 inches wide with trailer and a 4 hp jonson seahorse that rhe owner said was a parts motor. He stated it hadnt been ran in years. After about 2 days and a good cleaning i got it started. Need to rebuild carbs and fuel pump. Transom on boat is 20 inches and motor was only 17 inches so previous owner cut out bout 3 inches of transom to accomodate outboard. Was wondering if i can get away with a couple of sanwitched plywood and an aluminum bracket and bolted . Would this be enough ti support an 35 hp jonhson rhat im fixing to get my hand in.... boat needs a few repairs. Has a couple of atress cracks that ineed to have repaired. For 400 bucks down here in texas i new i had to invest a few bucks to it going..
