Bass Season Opens Tomorrow!

Yee-haw! Gonna get lots of fishing in this weekend. Preston Lake tomorrow and then into the Toronto Islands on Sunday (as long as the waves aren't too big on Big "O")

Ordered some hand-poured plastics from JD Baits a couple of weeks ago but they have been held up in this stupid mail strike we are having, so won't be able to try them out this weekend.

You guys have a bass "season"??!!! Man that sucks. Makes me really glad that I can catch them year round.

Where hes at pretty sure you can't fish for them while spawning.
I'm in Canada also,are season for them is alittle longer,April through Oct/(some lakes,Dec.)but can't keep any(don't anyways)till middle of June.

Daily bag limits different times of year here in Maine, but that's it

Our season goes from the 4th Saturday in June (after the spawn) to November 30. I'm okay with it - rather have a healthy bass population. Besides, we've got plenty of other spring fishing opportunities - steelhead, crappie, walleye, brown trout and pike.
