I know that this stuff isn't SUPPOSED to be used as a carb cleaner,BUT I ran out and tried it. All I can say is that for me it works better. Even used it on a fuel pump diaphragm that has been sitting for at least 2 yrs. It made the rubber pliable again, heck I even put the pump on and ran it. For the carbs it freed up the build up and dissolved crud so all I did was wipe it off. That's the lil 6 hp I'm playing around with

I am always looking at different things for different jobs
and this falls into the WHY NOT? category !!
I will be cleaning the throttle body on my 1997 Dodge 3500 van
this weekend for the first time in 247,000 miles -- so it is pretty gummed up.
the ATC with regular throttle body cleaner should do the job,

Thanks for sharing !!

Im gonna dump an aluminum bottle of Miller Lite in my Ice Auger carb tonight and see how she cleans up! Thanks for the tip!

Thats for the other carb. LMAO

Sometime back I read a story on a motorcycle forum about using Simple Green to soak aluminum carb parts in. I haven't tried it myself but was said to work well without damaging the aluminum.
