I just installed a drain plug in my boat. Its the type with the 2 screws and a permanently attached plug, its made of stainless steel. Anyhow, I bedded it with 5200 and have since read that it may not be a great idea due to the 5200 attacking the aluminum? Is there a better way that I could have done this? Probably too late now as I don't have any dynamite, etc. to remove the 5200 :LOL2: ... Thanks, Joe.

You can remove it still, get a hot knife from Harbor freight, will cut it like butter (maybe frozen butter!)

But I think you are OK unless you moor it in salt water.

Next time, prime & paint the alum 1st.
