I picked up a color GPS/Sonar unit with a card slot for mapping this evening around $250. Got the Lowarnce Elite-4. got started installing it tonight, little to hot here, so I'll finish it tomorrow. Can not believe how price is going down on these. Wanted to get B&W GPS/Downscan which was $219, but did not want the issues DSI have mounted on trolling motors. B&W GPS/Sonar is $179.

Wow, that looks nice and $250 sounds like a good price. Looks like the chip that has fishing hot spots for 6000 lakes is $109, not too bad either. Be interested in seeing how it performs for you, especially how easy it is too see in sunlight. Review will be in order.

i bought the same unit about 2 months ago and ive been really impressed with it. the display is very easy to see in direct sunlight and everything works as it should.
