Used it a few times this year...firm up the fuel bulb...pull the choke...press the primer 2x's...press start...and were off.

Today I couldn't get it to run for more than a few seconds...the more I pressed the primer the longer it ran...5 seconds tops.

Ended up pressing the primer at least 10x's and starting it...as soon as it started I went to 3/4 throttle and it kept running.

After a min or so I was able to push in the choke and return it to neutral and it idled fine.

I ended up running it dry since it may be the last run for the year.

Any ideas of what may be up?

Thanks

Matt

Sounds like you may have had a little bit of water in the carb/fuel, air in the fuel line or a combination of both. Try running it with fresh gas and see if that helps

I ended up trying it today, after I ran it dry yesterday.

Started right up but I had to keep the choke out for about 5 mins, if I pushed it in before that it would stall.

How long should warm up time be before you can push in the choke...been in the 40's at night.

Matt
