I got to the lake around 5 this evening, and within no more than 10 casts, I hooked a nice 1.5lb bass on a senko. Of course at this point I had high hopes with the quick hookup and did not take a pic of the fish. After about a half hour I moved to my honey hole/section of the lake. Soon after I had another bite, but missed it; most likely a dink or sunny hit.

Around 6:30 or so Dave met me at the lake. We continue beating up the spot, and he hooked into a chunky fish on a black popper. Soon after he got there, a couple and their big boxer moved into a nearby spot. Of course the dog started splashing around and the people started casting soft plastics on bobbers around. I was just happy they did not start throwing stuff in the water for the dog to fetch. They finally finally left a little before 8, the magic hour....usually.

As the sun started going down, the only boat on the lake started making their way towards us. They made so much noise, it almost sounded like they were tap dancing in the boat. We continued casting with little action. Finally while I was watching another fish jump, my frog got slammed through a slime mat. I thought I missed it, but luckily it was still there, so I set the hook into a nice fish. It ended up being 3.5lb on my scale, but it sure seemed bigger. We stayed till a little before 9, when the bats and bugs started getting really annoying, not to mention the boaters running over near us after I caught the fish.
