Mercury 60 Hp

Are there any upgrades or anything I can do to my 1999 Mercury 60 Hp? I"m looking to get more speed out of it if possible. I've heard there are ways of getting more out of some motors. Thanks for any suggestions or tips.

I think that if you had a 40, you could turn it into a 60 but I think that the 60 is the maxed out version of that engine.
