Minn Kota 55 C transom mount

I am getting a 1542 Tracker Topper Jon and was wondering if this motor will push this boat well. I will use it on electric only lakes around me. Any info. Is appriciated.

I think it will be more than enough for you. The 1542 Tracker Topper Jon is only
about 190 lbs from the factory.
I have a Minnkota 55 Vector pushing my 400 lb rig, plus myself, motor and tackle.
Mine has 5 speeds and level 3 or 4 gets it going well IMO.
I don't troll a lot, but I had a problem with my outboard once, and it trolled
me back to the dock w/o any problems. Ran about 40 minutes continuous and
there was still plenty battery left.

That's the same trolling motor I run on my 1648 and it does just fine. I do run 2 batteries with a switch. You can see my setup in the link below my signature.
