Here in Texas it's hard to find a good used 15 horse or less motor at a decent price with a title.
So I'm thinking about a new motor but holy cow!!!
I don't think I can afford it. Plus my transom is a little on the light side. I have a 1950 lonestar 14' that I'm adding a floor too. My question is how efficiently will a 5 horse motor push my little boat with 2 guys. I'm not interested in pulling a tube or anything just want to navigate some rivers and venture into open water without worrying about battery or getting overwhelmed.
