Have a Optima yellow top battery AGM type battery that I want to put under the front deck of my G3,,,,will just clear by a 1/4'' by laying it on its side,,,, Question is is their any battery hold downs designed to hold a battery on its side??? mite just have to make something???? want something to cover the top to prevent anything coming in contact of the post,,, don't really trust the little red and black plastic post covers,, going to fit as far left of center as I can get it,, may add a 2nd to the right of center at a later date

You could use a strap kit to hold it down and position the anchors where you want:

Good luck!
