New to forum have a few jet Jon questions

I am going to build a jet Jon using a late 90’s sea do gsx (free) and a tracker grizzly 1648 because of the .100 thickness on hull.

Main questions are is that a decent donor motor and pump and I would like input on the pick up and pump in its own transom box with the engine just inside the transom. Does anyone have advice on that good or bad?

I don't have experience with Sea Doo you you could read all about them on Green Hulk or Iboat websites.

As far as engine placement, weight balance is the key. Another factor is creating adequate structure to couple 100hp of torque when it is sticking out the back.

I spent considerable time thinking about options & mocked up the layout with cardboard before firing up the sawzall.
