I have an aluminum 17' War Eagle 754 with a 12 degree V hull and a 1997 Johnson 2 stroke 40 HP jet motor. I am not able to get the boat over 20 mph nor can I get it on plane. The impeller looks like it has some wear on it. I was wondering if getting the impeller sharpened and re-shimmed would make much difference in how fast I could get the boat up to and help get it on plane.
