stainless or aluminum?

Which metal is softer? Aluminum or stainless steel? Now hit a rock with it...which one do you think will do the most damage? That is what this guy is asking, not which one increases performance.
 
Well I guess he got a lot more info than just that. If you are going to run in waters like that then you shouldn't be talking aluminum vs. stainless......... should be a jet drive or air boat conversation :lol:
 
To answer the original question - if you are likely to whack your prop then SS is going to hold up better - and you can get it fixed.


If you are gonna really whack your prop then aluminum is cheaper to replace

AND, if you are really, really planning on ripping your prop - GET A JET (or oars) :mrgreen:
