I pulled the internal gas tank to give that a good cleaning and power washed the hull. Was tinkering with my 8hp kicker and could not get it to start. Hopefully I cant get all my wood cut and sealed this week before the carpet and vinyl get here. I will be replacing the old foam with the pink or blue polystyrene board. Here is a pic of the stripped hull. Thanks Riverrat for the suggestion and making me 2nd guess the foam. I would have hate to have left that in there. </p><p>Josh</p><p><a href="https://s328.photobucket.com/user/jdd1980/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-03/20160307_165117_zpsrel8z73f.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="https://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l346/jdd1980/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-03/20160307_165117_zpsrel8z73f.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" /></a></p></blockquote><p></p>
[QUOTE="jdd1980, post: 407751, member: 19003"] I was finally able to get some more work done today after being called into work all weekend. I got the bow section out. Went and got plywood to start cutting new wood. Ordered the vinyl and carpet so that is on the way. I took riverrats advice and removed the old factory foam. So glad I did this. The few spots I checked the foam must have been the only dry areas. I must have pulled over 100lbs of water logged foam out. I pulled the internal gas tank to give that a good cleaning and power washed the hull. Was tinkering with my 8hp kicker and could not get it to start. Then I remembered reading somewhere that the tether switch on these motors are known for going bad. Disconnected the yellow and black wire to the switch and it fired right up on the first pull.
