I picked this tracker up for $500.00 I will be doing a complete restore. I have already started working on it. My biggest concern was the transom as I was having problems figure out how to remove it. That was all solved when I ran across this site. Thanks for the help already. This is a great forum I love it.

Prior owners were not to bright, but I will make it right one way or another!!!

That's a great deal! Did it come with a motor?

Those Trackers offer an excellent platform for a re-build ... they have a great layout and are good sturdy boats. This should be a really fun build to watch ... keep the pictures coming!!!

Looks like you have a few issues that could be easily be solved with some aluminum welding. If you can't do it yourself, look around your area for someone who can. You'll be thrilled with the results.

It came with a 35HP mercury, however it will be undergoing a transplant as I have a 50Hp 2 stroke mercury with power trim and tilt that will push her along nicely and I already know what I have to fix on it. I really don't have any idea how the 35hp runs that will be another day. I have already found a shop to do some welding for me not to far away from my house. It is a real shame this boat was taken care of beautifully by the original owner and when he passed away it was giving to his grand-kids and they just abused the living $%^ out of it. I actually have the original sales receipt, and all the service receipts up until he passed away, then it just went south from there. The kids mom was so aggravated with the way they where treating it she paid for registration and then didn't even put it on the boat because she didn't want them to tear it up anymore. She was ready to just let it sit in the shed and rot. It was her dad's pride and joy, and I'm glad I found it when I did or it might have been to late!!

Thank you I will be working on her a lot next week as I have a break from school. I will keep posting the pics. Next up is getting the splash well off and removing the rear deck so I can start working on transom! I'm really excited!!!

Anyone every take the rear deck of one these trackers apart it looks a lot like a puzzle to me not sure what piece should come out first. Thank you in advance for any help.

I've taken a few pieces off, but I didn't really need to. Why were you wanting to do that? Do you have a better picture of the rear end?

The foam under the two side panels is wet and needs to be changed. The back of my boat looks almost identical to yours except my welds turn the corner and run down about 6".

Well today I am going to cut the splash well out, and remove the transom. Yes I am nervous, but It has to be done.

The part of the aluminum hull that's bent over the top of the transom board, try to save that by bending it back up, so that you can pull the wood out of the top. I cut mine out and it made for some tough going putting it all back together. You can check out the recent pictures in my build to see what I'm talking about...I though that if I ever did another one, I'd try to brace a 2x4 behind it, while I pry it and bend it back up, then hammer it back over once the new board is in. I'm not sure if that much bending will work harden it to the point that it will tear and break off, but it may be worth a shot. Let me know if you have any questions.

That is the vent for the bilge area/tank one on both sides

Yeah byob that is part of the reason I have take the rear deck apart. That dryer hose is dry rotted, and not hard to tell I can't do anything about it without taking some foam out.
