Big lake fishing (Lake Michigan)

Went fishing Sat & ended up with 5 for 8.Caught most between 12 & 20 foot on body baits.

4 Coho 1 Brown

Yes we trolled.We where running 2 down-riggers,2 planer boards,& 2 high lines.The 2 planner boards & the 2 high lines had copper .
The high lines & planner boards where out 45 & 60 feet.

Best bait was perch # 8

There was some perch in a couple of the fish caught,go figure why the perch bait worked best.

This time of year body baits work best for us.

I would love to get out trolling but even the launch here is still full of ice. Hopefully in a couple of weeks it will all clear we can get out for some Coho rainbow and chinooks.

Out fishing again this afternoon & before the lake kicked up I managed to land 1 coho.12 down, 15 feet of water.

I'm hoping to finish up the wiring and fish finder on my boat this weekend so I can get out to the river mouths on Lake Ontario for some staging Steelhead, and maybe some shallow water spring Chinooks.

Well went out again Sat. afternoon & ended up with 8,5 steelhead,a brown,laker,& Chinook.

they have been getting limits of browns and steelhead in the ludington harbor
