I wanted to get the boat on the water one last time in 2011 so I went out on Friday. Water temps ranged from 47.7-49.5 and air temps were in the low 40s to mid 60s by the time I headed in. I didn't have any luck. I had a couple of bites on a jig and on a crankbait, but I couldn't figure anything out. It was my 4th time out on the lake, Lake Cahoon in Suffolk, and I learned a little more about the lake and found some additional coves I didn't know about. I think I will be prepared for the spring, but I was out of my element yesterday. I have never fished this time of year and couldn't seem to do anything right. Any tips?? The deepest point of the lake is about 26 feet with a lot of submersed stumps.

Man, I would not know what to do if today was my last fishing trip of the year, move to Texas I guess. We fish almost year round here on the Gulf coast. Sorry for your loss.
