I used this boat anchoring system and it actually worked very well. And for about 10 bucks at Bass Pro Shops, it was a great deal. I have a cement anchor I made that's about 20 lbs. and it worked like a charm. The catch worked great. The only time it came loose was when the line was really loose for a long period. 90% of the time, it was solid. The pulley looks a bit weak, and I can see it as the only point of breakdown, since the rest is very solid. I think the trick is to only pull directly in line with the pulley's action and never diagnally against it. I had a number of hours of - stop, fish an area, pull up anchor, go to new area, fish, pull up anchor, continue to next spot. Between that and the trolling motor, I was all over the place. Easy to pull up the anchor, too.
