My Motorguide FW46 has a 3 blade Machete prop that is missing a blade. I have an 1860cc boat. Is there any trolling motor prop that would move my boat better? 2 or 3 blade? I have no idea, just looking for advice. I do mostly shallow water inshore for Reds/Specks and big lakes for bass.

Just went rhru a similiar thing with my MinnKota. After much reading and searching....not much ....if there is any gain it will only be 1/2 (.5) mph or less !! Seems electric motors don't like being worked harder, it can fry the ekectronics that control the motors. I moved from a weedless to a power prop from MK ( there recomendation) as I don't go around any weeds. Am told mabey a half mph gain....contact you motor mfgr and follow there recomendations...

I have had MG trolling motors for years. The machette is better in weeds than the power prop. It is far from weedless though. The power prop "feels" like it "grabs" better. Our xi3 came with a machette, but removed it and have it as a spare. Running a two blade Katana now. It does good in the river, but at highest setting, gets some vibration. I have never tested any of them for top speed.
