In the process of modifying my 87 Landau Tourney 10. I had one soft spot in the floor beside the live well so I decided to replace the flooring and do some mods in the process. I'll try to keep the progress updated and maybe get some ideas. Some of the things I would like to get done is:
1. Add some space for storage. Everything is stored in the floor except for a very small storage area for small items at the front deck.
2. Where can I put that gas tank? I have to find a place for the gas tank besides in the middle of the floor.
3. Extend the front deck by about a foot.
4. New switches and lights for night fishing. The switches for navigation lights seem a little odd. The rear navigation light switch is in the back and front navigation light switch is in the front. Why not just put those on the same switch.
I'll get more pics of the progress I've made so far as of this posting.

Pics of the progress I've made since I started a few months back. The wife is ready for me to get this thing finished. She is wanting to go fishing. This is what has been done so far.
Floor, side panels, rear boxes, live well, and transom removed.
New transom installed. New wiring run (trolling motor, navigation lights, courtesy lights), ran wiring through small pvc pipe and added new switches and fuse block. Cut a hole in rear side boxes on both sides. One side for a place for the gas tank and the other for storage. I'm thinking of covering both of these boxes with the same carpet as the rest of the boat. Front deck has been extended by about a foot.

I have one of these boats and have just finished the second rebuild, first time in 1991 as a camoed duck hunting rig and now as a fishing boat. I will try to post some photos this week.
Have you finished your build yet?
Did you replace the plastic caps on top of the side flotation? If so what did you use?

I haven't finished yet. I really haven't had alot of time but will finish this fall. My thoughts on replacing the plastic caps is to use some alumminum angle and rivet in place making some relief cuts for it to fit the countour of the sides. It's hard to explain, but I'll put some pics up when I come to that part. I would love to see some pics of your rebuild also. Thanks.

Completed earlier this year. Everything looks and works great. I will get some better pics this week out in the sun on the lake.
