Funny, I checked them out at the big C store the other day and didnt like them one bit. :lol:

I picked up an Abu Garcia 5600 C4 last season for $94. I also snagged an old 5000 on Ebay for about $30. all that one needed was a clean and lube and its good for another 30 years.

I have actually used the I boats site to find the part # and taken that down to Napa and had them order the parts. as long as you can find the part # more than likley your local parts store can get it.

have you checked the hub on the prop? I have heard of the rubber going bad and the prop spinning on the hub. does it shift in and out of gear smoothly?

I run a 40LB on my 14'er and it gets me around nice, but on some windy days a little extra would be nice.

whats odd though is that my 5600 is $100 cheaper then the Revo. you would think mine would be made over in Asia somewhere. :?

right now in MN with 2' of ice its a Gill Pill or Atomic Ant with a fat waxie on it.

for that price there should be a little 5-6HP outboard clamped on the transom......

Mine runs off a lawn tractor battery. usually by the end of the season its still reading 12.4 volts.

IN! oh, and my B'Day is the 25th of Feb, but don't let that effect the outcome..... :lol:

I have been running my Finder off a lawn tractor battery for a couple of years. I usually run it all summer without having to recharge.

3/4" might be a little over kill and heavy.

the engine is not going to blow. its just going to bounce off the rev limiter. no harm can be done. go out in your car right now and hold the gas pedal down in neutral. it wont go past about 4500RPM's
