    1958 Crestliner boat

Thanks Johnny! It sucks, but at the end of the day its just a boat, I can build another one. I know I wont get what its worth, especially the labor, and blood that went into it, but It was a great experience.

    2002 Mercury 15hp 4 stroke

Well I was a little bummed at first, I ran the motor, and it was still running rough. I decided to replace the plugs, and started it up...purred like a walrus at idle!!! Only problem is It wants to die when I try to increase the throttle. If I wiggle the throttle back and forth, I can get it to...

    2002 Mercury 15hp 4 stroke

Well, finally got the parts together. I replaced the needle valve, two gaskets on the carb, gaskets between the carb intake, and intake manifold last night. When I pulled the carb apart I noticed that the float was hitting the top of the carb as I had it upside down. I take it this means the...

No, to check that do I just pull a plug, leave it attached to the plug boot, and bump the starter?

    2002 Mercury 15hp 4 stroke

Thanks for the response!! I don't know if I cleaned it properly, I'm a little new to this, but I do feel that I did a good job of cleaning it. Really the carb seemed pretty clean when I opened it up. I don't know what a nasty carb looks like to compare it to. When I took it apart, I don't...

    2002 Mercury 15hp 4 stroke

I'm having some problems with my motor. I've cleaned the carb, and replaced the fuel pump, filter, line, and plugs. It still seems to idle rough. When I take it out it seem to be bogging down at wide open throttle, only pushing my boat about 5mph. I thought it may be a spun prop, but I was...

    14' Hull unknown tinboat restoration

I was going to say cresliner based on the spray rail and rivet formation towards the front of the boat. I would say its probably newer than my 58' based on the seats. Checkout Retrocrestliner.net/org and look through their catalogs to find one that matches your setup.

    69 Starcraft

I've read around 190-200 lbs which is 80 lbs heavier than the current 15hp Evinrude.

the transoms made for long shaft motors, so probably 20", no splash well on this one though.

Do anyone here think a 50hp 1972 Johnson would be too big on this rig?
