    Tee Nee Trailer

They have been out of business for quite a while. They were made about 15 miles from me. Parts are hard to find. Best bet is to find a similar replacement part and just add it on. There is a place In Youngstown, Ohio called Star supply that bought them out. They may have a few parts left...

    Minn Kota 55

Last year the shaft came out of the motor while I was using it. The motor vibrated as all get out. How much trouble is it to repair it myself. Watched a few u tube repairs but didn't really help me much. Sending out to factory repair shop is way to much money. Anything special I look for?

    Question to all

Any fish can be caught through the ice even trout using a jigging pole and bait or lure. Using only tip-ups is limiting your abaility to catch some extra fish. When you set out tip-ups your restricted to the one hole that it's sitting in. Why not set some tip-ups out and drill some extra holes...

Where can I find a wide blade flat screwdriver?

Bet you have what you need in your car or truck. A tire iron works great. The 3 or 4 I tried all fit. Plus you can get some leverage on it, a 4way works great.

    Led boat lights

Just paint the top half with silver or gray paint. It will leave the bottom light visible. Silver works better because it will relect the light.

    2009 Tohatsu 9.8 Four Stroke

If you read the instructions and run the motor dry of gas if you aren't going to use it for a while you won't have a problem. Bought a new one last August and used it until there was to much ice on the lake and it started every time. Very quiet running motor compared to the old Johnson that I...

    Hip waders

+2 on the rope to the trailer. I have a 14' and use about 30 feet of line. This way I can pull the trailer out of the water and still have the boat in the water and not banging against the concrete. Once the back of the boat floats clear of the trailer just back up a little and punch the...

    Tohatsu motors?

Found a dealer nearby. Walked in a bought one still in box. Even with the 6% state tax added on it was cheaper than the on line price. was going to get the 20 hp but for the boat I'm running I don't want to put the exra 40# of weight on the back end. Speed isn't really that important just...

    Tohatsu motors?

Looking to buy a new motor. Leaning towards the Tohatsu brand, same as Mercury. How well do these motors hold up? I usually put over 500 hours a year on my motor and need somethng that will hold up. Don't see many of these motors in my area. Use to be Johnsons were the only motors around...

You might pick up a few mph but not really worth all the trouble.

    OUTBOARD MOTOR PRICES?

If I could find a new motor for a $100 per hp I would be there in a minute. :LOL2: :LOL2: Up here whre I live we have nothing but small lakes usually 5-7 miles long and usally less than a mile and a half wide so all the lakes have hp restrictions of 20 hp or less. There are 2 lakes within 50...

    OUTBOARD MOTOR PRICES?

A new motor can be reckoned at $100/hp, as rule of thumb. A really great used one could probably be expected to do 75% of that, + or - . If it needs work but is sound, I'd say 50%, give or take. If it is a gasping dog that doesn't run, well, plan on 25% or less. Would you tell me where I can...

    Nissan or Tohatsu ?

The boat dealers around where I live are charging close to $650-$800 more for a Mercury than I can pick up a Tohatsu for. As for the pin thing my Johson has the pin and I never move the pin and the motor will rise or fall if I go into shallow water. just don't lock into position.

    Gas tanks

You can goto Wally World and get a plastic tank for around $16 that holds 5 or 6 gallons. Get the fittings that fit you hose and your good to go. This way there's no chance that the can will tip over and spill.

    Mercury 2005 8hp 4 Stroke motor gripes

No, warming a motor up that long is not normal. As for the gas leak that may be your problem on the motor stalling. There should be NO LEAKS at all. If gas leaks out ---air leaks in. That motor should start in a couple of pulls.
