ALL the wood was waterproofed!!! From the framing up to the floor. I certainly didn't want to take a chance and do it again next year. I also read that the carpet glue is waterproof as well.

Thanks guys!! Mofro, Fortunately i didn't have to strip a darn thing!!! This boat was brand spanky new off the truck. ordered it while it was being built at the smokercraft plant :mrgreen: I was even thinking about trying to do some extra work by doing some possible inlays on the side...

oops....sorry weezer i forget to add that it's a 1648 smokercraft. The boat is rock solid when fishing!!!!

On the bow i need to tear the trolling motor off and build a platform to make the motor permanant (right now it's rigged up just to fish). Also the plug will be mounted flush so the wires are hidden and not laying on the deck. Also need to mount the fishfinder up there. I want to put some...

It's certainly not done yet. Want to cover the transom and put in the storage doors for a battery and gas tank compartment...but so far i'm very happy. So here are a couple of pics from bare boat to it's current state. I just flat out couldn't deal with working on it and not fishing...

I used the Henry outdoor carpet glue and in the order you said. Layed the wood out, layed the carpet and cut it, spread the glue on the board, layed the carpet on the wood, flipped the board over and stapled. It's extremely easy but can be messy.....for me at least :roll: Make sure you have...

The majority of lakes in PA are free. It its owned by Fish and boat, DNR, or army corps they are free. There is one lake (wallenpaupack) that HAS a ramp you pay to launch, but there is free Fish and boat access further up the lake. Just as long as a boat is registered or has a permit it's...

I definatly want the peice of mind. I've been told that the minn kota TM's actually have one built in. But i don't have a minn kota so it's a moot point. But i'd rather spend a couple bucks to protect a couple hundred. The book recomends a 50 amp, But from past posts here I figured the 60...

I have a 46pd thrust motorguide and was planning on getting the minn kota 60 amp circuit breaker but now i see that motorguide actually makes a 50 amp breaker. Do i HAVE to use the motor guide or would it be smarter to just use the minn kota breaker?

I am about to wire up my trolling motor and sonar and would like to know how this is done. I will have a 60 amp circuit breaker installed as well and there is the fuse for the sonar as well. Does it matter where any of these are wired in? Is the fuse for the fishfinder wired right in with the...

Another tip for you is to not use that whole spool of line. Once you have a target picked out, put a piece of tape around the spool once you have enough line to get to the target and about 10' slack. That way if you do back lash, (you will) it won't be a huge mess to pick out. I think thumbing...

That picture is MANY years old. The story that went with it had nothing to do with arrow length. It was simply a defective arrow. But there is a reason you should keep your arrow cut as close to the rest as possible. It will stabilize quicker.
