    leaky boat!

    on my 1982 sears 12 foot jon my drain plug was ok but water leaked from the inside underneath the tube for the plug...so i thoguht it was the drain plug tube and hole itself but it was underneath so i used a pry bar and kind of lifted it up...i just used JB weld to patch it, pushed the tube back...

    i just replaced my transom as well for the same reasons listed. there is no wrong way in my opinion, to save money i about jb weld/ water weld (same thing just the waterweld you can actually use it to patch something out underwater) and 5200 marine adhesive sealant... i went with 1/2 inch...

    i have a 1982 sears 1232 jon boat, just replaced the transom wood, and the entire boat is sanded down free of paint and all that good stuff. im looking for advice i was quoted about 125.82 for -1 gal of zinc chromate primer -1 gal of sunnyside kylene -1 gal of desert tan automotive paint...
