    Are you using a Torque wrench when you tighten down the factory nut to the correct specs, if not it will continue to come loose. Make sure you check the crankshaft key way for any damage from the flywheel coming off, use a factory OMC key and not some hardware store woodruff key. Good luck...

    Offer $400 all they can say is no. Thats a decent price especially since it has the warrenty. There great motors, one of the best power to weight ratio motors omc ever built. With routine maint it will last another 40 yrs.

    +1 on the water pump. Drain and refill lower unit gear oil and look for any water intrusion, if it looks good- refill. Grease all zerk fittings, If your going to have the flywheel off for the new plug wires inspect all ignition components, clean and set points to .020.
