Are you using a Torque wrench when you tighten down the factory nut to the correct specs, if not it will continue to come loose. Make sure you check the crankshaft key way for any damage from the flywheel coming off, use a factory OMC key and not some hardware store woodruff key. Good luck...

Only tighten the base screw tight once you have the points adjusted to the .020 using the adjustment screw. So, rotate cam until the highest point and the points are fully open( it will usually say "top" or "set" in this area).Now snug up the base screw but not to much so the adjustment screw...

Check your linkages first to make sure everything is ok . Even though a new clutch dog was installed, the forward gear might have been worn as well and should have been replaced too. A new clutch engaging a worn fwd gear is only going to last so long.

Are the plugs wet like it just got flooded or ? Make sure spark will jump a 1/4'' gap on a spark checker with a nice blue snap. Whats the compression reading on each cylinder? Could be a broken flywheel key.
