That suks! If you have a pretty good idea where it is, take out a 3/4 oz rattle trap, literally drag it across the bottom slowly. Do it from many different angles. If the bottom doesn't have a lot if hard cover and such, you might get lucky and snag the rod, reel or line. I've done this...

At a minimum, I'd like to put a floor in it, put cushions or carpet on the rear benches, put a trolling motor up front, add a depth finder and add a couple of pedestal seats. I still need to get a gas tank and a battery, so that's where I'll start. I'll need a plug too so it doesn't sink. :lol:

It has the handle throttle with what looks like neutral, forward and reverse settings. It has a black button on the underside of the handle (I assume that's the start) And, a red button on the end of the handle (I assume that shuts it off) Am I close? I can post a pic in the morning. Thanks...

Is there a 'rule of thumb' for determining shaft length? I'm trying to price out a 9.9 or a 15hp for a 14 or 15' Jon. I figure it's based on transom height, but I'm still not sure if the prop should be fully below the hull or somewhere higher. Sorry! I searched, but failed (not unusual for...
