100:1 seems a little low but i woud do what the manufacture recomends. I would double check with the dealer or even call the manufacture

Test the coil and points. sounds like a electrical issue to me

I bet the float in the carb is stuck. Alot of times when a motor sits and u use it it will run for a bit but than the float will stick from te carb being dry for so long. When you stored it was there fuel in the carb?? Did you let it run dry with a fuel stabilizer.

Is there a crank case? Do you mix the gas or do you add it to the motor??

IMO the first thing to check is compression test is the most important. Than make sure there is no water in the lower end. Carbs can be rebuilt cheep. Water pumps fixed cheep ( although if the water pump is gone i would make sure it has not been over heated to often.) But if the compression...

You will never have the perfect boat. As soon as you get what you think is the perfect boat you find something elseyou like better. It would not be hard to remove the middle seat from that boat and open it up and put a low deck. check out my pics from my small v boat project for some ideas.

I built a deck in the front of my 14 with the battery in the front and i think the tank in the front would be too heavy. May want to try a it befor instaling it.

Thanks guys, Alredy found somthing i want to change though. I made the center seat fixed on a pedistal. I did this cause the removable post and mount are very expensive. I am finding now it would be very nice to be able to remove this when i am alone and to store the seats in the off season.

Ya i was thinking about a radio but my firs priority right now is a bow mount troling motor.

Yes it will be storage. Not as big as i would have liked but i dont think it would have looked right if i made them higher than the front deck. There is not enough space in them for a rod locker but i am attaching a 6 rod holder to the outside of the storage compartment.
